Position Purpose

Leads the district's HR Operations function, ensuring employee services, administrative processes, records, data workflows, and operational support are handled consistently, efficiently, and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day HR Operations functions, including employee services, leave and benefits administration, onboarding processing, employee records, data workflows, and operational support
  • Ensure HR Operations processes are completed accurately, consistently, and on time
  • Maintain visibility into service volume, workflow bottlenecks, and operational risk areas
  • Help ensure the HR Operations team functions as a coordinated operational unit rather than a collection of disconnected tasks
  • Supervise HR Operations staff and support clear role ownership across operational functions
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and follow-up to ensure quality and consistency of work
  • Support cross-training and continuity planning across the HR Operations team
  • Ensure the team balances clear ownership with flexibility during peak periods and launch demands
  • Ensure HR Operations workflows are followed consistently across the district
  • Oversee internal handoffs related to onboarding, employee changes, leave processing, records, employee service requests, and administrative support
  • Support timely completion of notices, forms, documentation, and recurring HR transactions
  • Maintain visibility into HR records, system updates, administrative documentation, and process integrity
  • Help identify and resolve operational gaps, inefficiencies, or process bottlenecks
  • Support implementation of tools, tracking methods, and system improvements
  • Support a responsive and service-oriented experience for employees and leaders interacting with HR Operations
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, tools, and administrative workflows
  • Support implementation of operational improvements, automation, or process changes as appropriate

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in HR operations, HR administration, or process-oriented HR support
  • Experience coordinating or overseeing administrative workflows
  • Experience supervising staff or leading administrative functions
  • Familiarity with HRIS, records systems, and employee service processes

Clearances

Candidate must be fingerprinted and clear a criminal background check.

Physical Demands: Primarily sedentary office environment; frequently required to sit, talk, and hear; occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms; ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally. Travel: Travel to various school buildings and district sites may be required. Mental Demands: Ability to maintain emotional control under stress; ability to handle high-volume, complex matters with strict confidentiality.
