HR Onboarding Specialist

A health services network in New York City is looking to add a new HR Specialist to support onboarding and new-hire orientation.About the Opportunity:Shift: Day Schedule: Monday through Thursday during training; Monday through Friday after trainingHours: 9am to 5pmSetting: In-personResponsibilities:Prepare and send offer letters and welcome communicationsCoordinate background checks, employment physicals, references, license verifications, and other pre-hire requirementsTrack new-hire clearance status and escalate onboarding issues as neededSend clearance communications and HRIS registration invitationsCoordinate with IT, Credentialing, and other departments to ensure employees are ready for Day 1Support temporary and contract staff onboarding and maintain complete electronic personnel filesQualifications:At least 2 years of relevant human resources experienceHands-on experience with onboarding and new-hire processingExperience managing pre-employment clearances and onboarding documentationExperience with HRIS or ATS platforms, preferably PaycomProficiency with Microsoft OfficeAssociate degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experienceDesired Skills:Experience supporting onboarding in an organization with 250 or more employeesExperience coordinating new-hire orientation
