HR Onboarding Specialist

Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite). This is a temp-to-hire position.

Pay

$23–25/hour while temporary; $55,000 annual salary plus profit sharing upon conversion.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Onboarding Specialist to join a growing Human Resources team. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level HR professional interested in building a long-term career in Human Resources, Payroll, and Benefits. The Onboarding Specialist will support employee lifecycle processes, including new hire onboarding, employee status changes, and terminations, while maintaining accurate and confidential employee records.

Responsibilities

• Process new hires, terminations, and employee changes, including pay, position, and schedule updates.
• Maintain and organize employee records and HR documentation.
• Ensure accuracy of employee data and compliance with internal processes.
• Support onboarding activities and employee file management.
• Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Assist with administrative HR tasks and special projects as assigned.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of responsibilities and provide support as workload demands.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in HR, administrative support, data entry, payroll support, or a related field preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
• Strong Excel skills are required and will be evaluated during the hiring process.
• Experience using UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) is strongly preferred.
• Self-motivated team player with a willingness to take ownership of tasks from start to finish.
• Eagerness to learn, grow, and take on additional responsibilities over time.

Work Environment

Fully onsite position in Charlotte, NC. Remote work is not available for this role.
