CRA Consulting are working with a well-established law firm on the outskirts of Sheffield who are looking to recruit an HR Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day HR function and play an important role in the continued development of the business. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to the business, working directly with senior management and employees rather than operating within a large corporate HR structure.

Responsibilities
As HR Manager, you will provide practical, commercially focused HR support across the firm and act as a trusted point of contact for both management and employees. Your responsibilities are likely to include:
- Managing the day-to-day HR function
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and employee retention
- Providing advice on employee relations matters
- Managing absence, performance and disciplinary processes
- Reviewing and developing HR policies and procedures
- Supporting learning, development and staff progression
- Assisting with salary reviews, benefits and employee engagement
- Ensuring HR practices remain compliant with current employment legislation
- Working closely with senior management on wider people and business strategy
- Helping to maintain a positive, professional and supportive working culture
Requirements
We're keen to speak with experienced HR professionals who are comfortable working autonomously and building strong relationships across a business. Previous experience within a law firm would be a definite advantage, although this isn't essential. Candidates coming from other professional services environments would also be of particular interest. You should be approachable, commercially minded and confident dealing with everything from everyday employee queries through to more complex HR matters.
Pay and schedule
- £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience
- Full-time or part-time hours considered for the right person
- Office-based position, five days per week
