HR Manager - Cat Digital
About the role
The Human Resources Manager for the Cat Digital Division supports the AI & Analytics, Applications, and Platform Engineering teams within Caterpillar Inc., a global leader in construction, mining, and industrial equipment. Reporting to the Cat Digital’s HR Director, this role focuses on aligning HR strategies with business objectives, fostering a culture of engagement, and driving organizational effectiveness.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with management to identify and prioritize HR initiatives aligned with business goals and organizational strategy.
Align HR policies and programs for assigned business units to promote employee engagement, retention, and high performance.
Act as a trusted coach to leaders and managers, providing guidance on performance management, compensation, employee development, and organizational challenges.
Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends and develop data-driven insights and recommendations for senior leadership.
Lead and develop a team of HR professionals while partnering with Centers of Excellence to deliver integrated, high-impact HR solutions.
Drive organizational effectiveness initiatives, including assessments, change management, and implementation of programs to enhance team performance.
Provide oversight and direction on complex employee relations matters, ensuring compliance and alignment with company values and policies.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience desired.
Knowledge of Organization: Knowledge of the organization's vision, structure, culture, philosophy, operating principles, values, and code of ethics; ability to align HR strategies with business priorities and enable organizational performance.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Advanced ability to analyze complex situations, evaluate alternatives, and drive effective decisions using informed judgment and data.
Effective Communications: Strong communication capabilities with the ability to influence, advise, and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Interpersonal Relationships: Ability to build strong partnerships, influence stakeholders, and work collaboratively across teams in a global, matrixed environment.
Data Gathering and Reporting: Strong capability to analyze HR metrics and translate data into actionable business insights and strategic recommendations.
Employee Relations: Deep knowledge of employee relations practices and legal considerations; ability to manage complex situations with sound judgment and integrity.
HR: Policies, Standards and Procedures: Strong understanding of HR disciplines; ability to lead the application and evolution of policies, standards, and practices across the organization.
Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business operations, financial drivers, and organizational priorities; ability to translate business needs into effective HR strategies.
Influencing: Ability to effectively influence decision-making, build consensus, and drive outcomes across multiple stakeholders.
Leadership: Ability to lead teams, drive engagement, and deliver results through others while fostering a culture of accountability and development.
Qualifications

Previous experience supporting engineering, digital, or technology organizations.
Experience leading HR teams and operating in a global, matrixed environment.
Exposure to global HR practices, immigration, and/or mobility programs.
Strong background in HR consulting, talent management, and organizational development initiatives.
