HR Manager
We are looking for an HR Manager to lead all aspects of the employee lifecycle in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This highly visible role partners closely with leaders to influence business outcomes, support organizational change, foster a strong workplace culture, and ensure a positive employee experience. Responsibilities include recruiting, employee relations, leadership coaching, performance management, compliance, compensation, benefits, and engagement programs.

Responsibilities
- Builds effective working relationships with organizational leaders and balances facility/group needs with HR guidelines.
- Provides coaching to leaders and individual contributors at the Plant Manager level and below to promote individual success.
- Drives change management among leaders to ensure strategic changes are rolled out in an engaging, well-communicated, and reinforced way.
- Assesses and monitors associate engagement proactively and implements strategies to address disengagement.
- Completes reports and information requests accurately and timely.
- Executes core annual programs such as performance objectives, goal-setting, evaluations, compensation planning, talent assessment, succession planning, wellness, annual enrollment, and OSHA logs.
- Manages the talent acquisition process to attract and hire qualified candidates.
- Addresses employee grievances, mediates conflicts, and fosters a positive work environment.
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive programs to attract and retain top talent.
- Administers employee leaves of absence, reasonable accommodation requests, and investigates allegations of wrongdoing.
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Ensures HR functions (recordkeeping, talent development, promotions, terminations) comply with company procedures and legal requirements.
- Oversees performance appraisal systems, provides feedback, and develops performance improvement plans.
- Creates learning and development programs to provide internal growth opportunities.
- Develops, implements, and updates HR policies and ensures consistent application across the organization.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and recommends best practices.
- Leads state employment-related inquiries from the Department of Labor.
- Leads employee engagement activities and community events for the facility.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Leads the HR function for a facility, providing functional HR expertise and executing key projects.
- Directly manages facility HR Partners, driving performance in the local HR team, as applicable.
- Ensures alignment with HR processes and programs across the company.
- Collaborates with HR colleagues to share best practices and leverage successes.
- Supports peer networks and leverages them for learning when encountering new challenges.
- Manages personal development following changes to company, business, or HR strategy.
- Participates in the development of HR colleagues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of human resource management experience preferred.
- SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification highly desired.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to move around the manufacturing facility, including standing, walking, and climbing stairs.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Some travel may be required.
- Work is primarily performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.
- Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required.
Schedule
This role requires onsite presence Monday through Friday.
