Job Responsibilities
- Oversees and administers the company’s leaves of absence, analyzing Family Medical Leave (FMLA) and other LOA requests to determine eligibility and certification based on state and federal regulations.
- Prepares timely correspondence and leave notices as required to associates requesting/returning from leave.
- Makes determinations based on service expectations as established by the client and communicates those decisions.
- Monitors and tracks leave of absence to ensure leaves are extended or returned from LOA in a timely manner.
- Ensures ongoing leaves and disability claim management is within the company’s service standards, industry best practices and within state and federal regulations.
- Partners with payroll & state disability programs concerning eligibility, hours, and accuracy associate payment for associates on leave.
- Analyzes internal data related to leave management and identifies opportunities for improvement.
- Identifies and keeps HR and Operations management apprised of any ongoing or outstanding and unusual leave issues that require higher level decision making.
- Identifies action plans and determines benefits due on LOA requests, making timely case decisions based on service expectations as established by the client.
- Maintains awareness of regulation updates for all jurisdictions and proposes implementation plans to HR management.
- Conducts benchmarking of leave of absence and accommodation processes and policies against industry standards and best practices to ensure efficiency and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum three years of relevant work experience.
- Successfully completed initial and periodically required trainings.
- Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.
Pay
$72,500-$101,500/per year
