HR - LMS eLearning Consultant - Full Time
About the role
The LMS/eLearning Consultant will design, implement, manage, and optimize learning management system (LMS) and eLearning solutions to support organizational learning initiatives. This role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to analyze training needs, develop eLearning strategies, and ensure seamless technology integration to enhance employee engagement and performance outcomes.
Responsibilities
- LMS Administration and Implementation: Oversee the customization, deployment, and maintenance of LMS components associated with assigned projects. Troubleshoot and work with the team to optimize system performance to ensure accessibility and functionality for all users. Use the defined team quality assurance processes to ensure content meets design standards and organizational requirements.
- ELearning Strategy Development: Collaborate with subject matter experts and organizational leaders to analyze training needs and design eLearning solutions. Develop eLearning strategies to align with organizational learning objectives and the strategic LMS and eLearning plan.
- Instructional Design: Design and develop interactive eLearning content using authoring tools and create detailed storyboards. Ensure eLearning courses follow adult learning principles and align with compliance, technical, or developmental learning objectives. Collaborate with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and apply instructional design principles to create effective, engaging learning experiences.
- Stakeholder Collaboration and Consultation: Work with organizational stakeholders to assess learning needs, define goals for training, and deliver technology-enabled training solutions. At the direction of the Learning Technology Manager and Sr. LMS/eLearning Consultant, work with the eLearning/LMS team to define LMS goals and plans for accomplishing these goals. Act as a liaison between IT, HR, training teams, and end-users to facilitate a smooth experience for learners and leaders who monitor learning progress.
- Training & Support: Provide training for end-users and leaders as directed by the Learning Technology Manager and SR. LMS/eLearning Consultant on LMS functionalities, troubleshooting, and best practices. Develop user guides, documentation, and support resources to ensure successful LMS usage.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and analyze data from the LMS to assess learning engagement, system performance, and user feedback. Prepare reports on training metrics to evaluate learning program success and inform strategic decisions.
- System Integration: Collaborate with team and IT to integrate the LMS with other organizational tools, such as HR systems, Single Sign-On (SSO), performance management platforms, etc.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and advancements in LMS and eLearning technologies. Recommend and implement updates or changes to technology solutions to improve user experience and learning outcomes.
Requirements
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Information Technology, or a related field. 3 years of experience in LMS administration, eLearning development, instructional design, or a related field. Experience supporting enterprise LMS implementations, migrations, and upgrades.
PREFERRED: Master’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Learning Technologies, or a related field. Experience with Learning Analytics tools and data analysis to assess learning programs. Experience consulting with cross-functional teams to implement scalable eLearning strategies. Experience working in regulated industries (healthcare, finance, government, etc.) where compliance training is critical.

- Experience With Data Analysis Tools And Reporting: Analyzing LMS-generated data to identify trends and performance insights Using Tableau or Excel to visualize data for better decision-making and reporting Creating dashboards to monitor and share key performance indicators (KPIs) with stakeholders Generating reports to track user progress, engagement, and completion rates Interpreting data trends to inform instructional design or program changes
- Project Management: Leading and managing cross-functional project teams Planning project timelines and milestones Applying methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Agile, Waterfall, or PRINCE2 Identifying and mitigating risks during a project lifecycle Coordinating stakeholder communications and managing resource allocation
- Strong Knowledge Of ELearning Standards: Understanding and implementing SCORM for compatibility with LMS Working with AICC standards to ensure interoperability Developing content using xAPI (Tin Can API) for advanced learning tracking Ensuring compliance with eLearning standards for seamless integration and performance Testing and troubleshooting compliance with eLearning delivery standards
