HR Generalist Onsite
Job Description And Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist with a strong talent acquisition background to join our Portland, OR team. In this role, you’ll support HR strategies with a people-centered approach, partnering with managers and front-line leaders to support performance management, employee relations, compliance, and engagement and retention initiatives. In addition, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to hiring teams, executing recruitment strategies, managing candidate pipelines. Consult with managers, frontline leaders and employees, providing HR guidance and ensuring compliance with all applicable employment laws, regulations and internal policies.
Actively support and reinforce company culture grounded in our core values. Guide managers in identifying, documenting, and addressing performance gaps while strengthening engagement, productivity, and retention. Address employee relations concerns promptly, conduct investigations, and partner with leadership on resolutions. Support HR programs (performance reviews, engagement and retention initiatives, personal development plans). Support the talent acquisition process, including recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified job applicants. Build sustainable talent pipelines through proactive external engagement aligned to business workforce needs. Source candidates using job boards, trade schools, universities, career fairs, industry associations, and social media.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered
- 5+ years progressive HR experience with minimum 2 years as an HR Generalist
- 2 years full cycle recruiting experience including sourcing, screening, selection, offer and negotiation and onboarding
- 1+ year experience of resolving employee relations matters and leading investigations
- Professional in Human Resources® (HRCI PHR®) or Society of Human Resources Management Certified Professional (SHRM CP®) certification, preferred
- Previous manufacturing industry experience, preferred
- Broad knowledge of human resources practices including compensation, performance management, leadership development, employee relations, change management and organizational development
