Location: 3560 Pentagon Blvd, Beavercreek, Ohio
Position type: Full-time, exempt (salary). Travel required to both the Columbus and Dayton regions: Columbus 5–10 times per month (mainly to member centers), Dayton 2–7 times per month (member centers and Headquarters).
About the role
The HR Generalist performs all recruitment and selection activities, delivers human-resource procedures and practices, and addresses employee concerns for all Credit Union employees.
Responsibilities
- Perform all recruitment activities—including sourcing, selection, and onboarding—for all open positions in the defined work group; use multiple recruiting platforms to attract top talent (50%).
- Address employee concerns promptly and assist the HR Manager with sensitive employee-relations issues that may expose the Credit Union to litigation; escalate complex questions or situations confidentially (30%).
- Ensure policies, procedures, risk-mitigation activities, and operating controls are followed; assist managers with employee-relations issues, performance expectations, disciplinary actions, and terminations in compliance with applicable laws and regulations; maintain and update the performance-management system.
- Support special projects: develop and deliver in-house training on HR technical skills (interviewing, diversity, compliance), conduct compensation analysis, identify process-improvement opportunities, and report gaps in policies, procedures, and controls to leadership (20%).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Business Administration (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 1–3 years of experience in a fast-paced recruiting environment; creative approaches to attracting top talent.
- SHRM or PHR certification preferred.
Skills
- Proven customer-service orientation with flexibility, patience, and effective conflict resolution.
- Ability to anticipate and prioritize the needs of internal customers (VP of HR, hiring managers, employees).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and adaptability to recruiting systems; expertise in applicant-tracking systems and ADP or similar HRIS platforms.
- Strong multitasking and ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
- Strict attention to detail and ability to maintain confidential information.
Pay
Grade PG 15: $63,315.20 – $94,972.00 annually. Target compensation range: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00.
