About the Role
The Human Resources Generalist I delivers end-to-end HR support across the entire team member life cycle, collaborating with business leaders to manage talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, employee engagement and development, retention strategies, and separation procedures.
Responsibilities
- Lead recruitment by creating requisitions, screening applicants, and managing the recruitment process.
- Create offer packages and conduct background checks.
- Ensure compliance with EEO, state, and government regulations during all talent acquisition activities.
- Participate in job evaluations and job description development.
- Examine local pay surveys and analyze pay data for wage and benefit review development or other compensation-related programs.
- Implement talent-related projects and processes such as talent reviews and performance assessments using talent management best practices.
- Administer the Parker global engagement survey at division locations, promote survey participation, and initiate engagement action plans based on feedback.
- Counsel management on resolving employee relations issues and investigate employee complaints for timely and equitable resolution.
- Lead organizational training on HR policies, organizational development, and compliance.
- Use analytics tools and dashboards to evaluate talent data, extract insights, and prepare reports with recommendations for management.
- Facilitate communication and documentation during labor relations discussions and processes, if applicable.
- Coordinate annual benefit program enrollment, team member engagement activities, and community service endeavors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- HR experience including internships, co-ops, or entry-level roles.
- Prior professional, academic, or extra-curricular leadership experience is preferred.
- Exposure to manufacturing environments and/or familiarity with union/labor relations is beneficial.
- General knowledge of various Human Resources or related functions.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills for varied audiences.
- Ability to build strong relationships at all organizational levels.
- Strong analytical and technological skills.
- Action-oriented and organized.
