About the role
The HR Generalist supports the overall HR function by providing a wide range of HR services to employees and management. Responsibilities include recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits administration, policy implementation, and compliance with employment laws and regulations. The goal is to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce, effective HR policies, and a positive work environment aligned with the company’s goals and values.
Responsibilities
- Assists with the development and administration of HR programs, procedures, and guidelines to align the workforce with the company’s strategic goals and contract requirements.
- Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
- Assists in establishing departmental measures that support the company and contract’s strategic goals.
- Manages the recruitment process for designated positions, including posting positions, reviewing applications, conducting interviews, managing job offers, and onboarding new hires in collaboration with hiring managers.
- Maintains and updates accurate information in the ELO Database – Spreadsheet.
- Develops and manages staffing and recruiting strategies for assigned recruitment efforts.
- Maintains communication with hiring managers, follows up on open positions, and provides guidance to address outstanding matters.
- Assists and participates in addressing employee concerns, issues, disciplinary actions, and investigations as requested.
- Provides sound advice to the management team on employee issues and ensures compliance with legal processes.
- Keeps the Sr. HR Manager informed of issues and resolutions in a timely manner.
- Participates in organization-wide committees as directed by HR leadership.
- Maintains knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to Title VII, FLSA, FMLA, and benefit-related requirements.
- Interprets and communicates routine Human Resources policies and procedures to employees and management.
- Supports other HR staff members with projects and workload as needed.
- Compiles reports from HRIS databases for the LMS contract.
- Supports the main point of contact in responding to LMSP reasonable accommodation requests.
- Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) on HR matters, upholding confidentiality and trustworthiness.
- Exhibits a solid understanding of compensation factors and mechanisms.
- Supports the main point of contact in responding to company FMLA/STD issues.
- Manages communication with ASRC regarding employee information and receives weekly FMLA reports.
- Shares weekly FMLA reports with LMS Accounting, Occupational Medicine, and other relevant departments.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 9 years of relevant experience.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.

Pay
Hiring range: $70,000 to $80,000 per year. The anticipated starting salary is based on the posted minimum requirements for this position. The final salary offered will be determined by the selected applicant’s education, training, and experience.
Schedule
Full-Time, Exempt. This position requires less than 10% travel.
