Responsibilities
- Provide support to residential employees regarding policies, benefits, and general HR questions.
- Update and create job descriptions as needed.
- Maintain and update employee records in HR systems.
- Affiliate with performance management processes, including evaluations and goal tracking.
- Track residential staff licensure and annual training/testing requirements.
- Work with management to ensure annual reviews are completed and merit increases are processed timely through ExponentHR.
- Handle Leave of Absence and FMLA requests for multiple locations.
- Report workers’ compensation claims and maintain OSHA logs for multiple locations.
- Maintain professional boundaries with clients and interact appropriately.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and company policies.
- Support employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate Professional in Human Resources (aPHR) certification or higher preferred.
- 2–5 years of HR experience.
- Knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations.
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, EHR systems, payroll systems, and related tools.
- Strong ethics and conflict management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and required auto liability insurance.
- Satisfactory references.
- Satisfactory criminal background check.
- Satisfactory drug screen.
