HR Generalist

About the role

Partners with site leadership and the human resources team to administer various human resource plans, procedures, and initiatives, ensuring communication and execution are consistent across all sites.

Responsibilities

• Engage with employees to understand their needs and concerns and provide appropriate solutions aligned with company practices.
• Conduct recruitment efforts for all exempt and non-exempt site positions.
• Develop and monitor programs to promote positive employee relations and engagement.
• Handle employee relations concerns and investigations with support from HR leadership; partner with supervisors on disciplinary matters.
• Perform benefit administration, such as open enrollment, and communicate benefit information to employees.
• Generate reports, conduct analyses, and provide input for decision-making on HR projects or initiatives.
• Maintain human resources information systems records and compile reports from the database as needed.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state employment regulations, including meal periods, rest breaks, timekeeping, recordkeeping, leave and disability management, and workers' compensation claims.
• Manage onboarding for new employees and collaborate with supervisors to ensure a positive employee experience.
• Review timekeeping records accurately and timely for payroll processing.
• Maintain personnel files and ensure all legal requirements are met.
• Collaborate with Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) on employee safety and wellbeing initiatives, such as annual testing, safety boots, and safety committees.
• Travel to other sites or regions as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of HR experience.

Pay

$65,000 – $75,000 annually.
