About the role
Partners with site leadership and the human resources team to administer various human resource plans, procedures, and initiatives, ensuring communication and execution are consistent across all sites.
Responsibilities
- Engages with employees to understand their needs and concerns and provides appropriate solutions aligned with company practices.
- Conducts recruitment efforts for all exempt and non-exempt site positions.
- Develops and monitors programs to promote positive employee relations and engagement.
- Handles employee relations concerns and investigations with support from HR leadership; partners with supervisors to address disciplinary matters.
- Performs benefit administration, such as open enrollment, and communicates benefit information to employees.
- Generates reports, conducts analyses, and provides input for decision-making on HR projects or initiatives.
- Maintains human resources information systems records and compiles reports from the database as needed.
- Ensures compliance with federal and state employment regulations, including meal periods, rest breaks, timekeeping, recordkeeping, leave and disability management, and workers' compensation claims.
- Handles onboarding of new employees and collaborates with supervisors to ensure a positive employee experience.
- Reviews timekeeping records for timely and accurate payroll processing.
- Maintains personnel files and ensures all legal requirements are met.
- Collaborates with Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) on employee safety and wellbeing initiatives, such as annual testing, safety boots, and safety committees.
- Travels to other sites or regions based on business needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of HR experience.
