HR Generalist

Well Placed HR are exclusively recruiting for a growing manufacturing business in Truro to join their HR team. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to expand your skills within an evolving company that is part of a large-scale parent organization with multiple sites in the UK and USA.

About the role

This is a broad opportunity with autonomy to shape HR policy and procedure, ensuring compliance while building positive relationships between employees and managers. You will report to the HR Lead but manage day-to-day HR operations for this business unit.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment, onboarding, and conducting outgoing employee meetings
• Managing employee relations
• Ensuring all compliance needs are met
• Reviewing and updating policies as legislative changes are announced
• Leading training, appraisals, and exit interviews
• Handling HR administration tasks

Requirements

• Experience as an HR “all-rounder” with a focus on recruitment, legislation, and employee relations
• CIPD Level 5 qualification is advantageous, but vocational experience will also be considered
• Approachable, confident, and nurturing nature

Schedule

Part-time role offered on a 2–3 day per week basis, with hours flexible to be split over 2–5 days according to the successful candidate’s preference.

Pay

£45,000 (full-time equivalent).
