This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.

Pay

$31.00 - $36.00/hr; W2 contract. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.

Schedule

Core hours are 8AM-5PM (CT). This is a hybrid role requiring some on-site presence in the Nashville office.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the human resource records of an organization's employees.
  • Maintain personnel documents and perform background checks, along with other employee-related activities.
  • Act as a point of escalation for questions, interpreting, and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems.
  • Instruct staff on how to advise management on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment.
  • Resolve disputes and administer disciplinary procedures.
  • Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, firing employees, and administering disciplinary procedures.
  • Plan, direct, and supervise and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labor relations, and employee relations.
  • May represent organization in HR meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8-10 years of customer service-related experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in HR (preferred).
  • Prior compensation or stock plan administration experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLookups).

  • Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service, and interpersonal skills (Required).
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time (Required).
  • Strong knowledge of legal policies and procedures related to hiring practices (e.g., equal employment opportunity and affirmative action) (Required).
  • Strong knowledge of benefit and pay-scale systems (Typically required).
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback (Required).
  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel (Required).
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
