About the Role
This position supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department and provides assistance to employees and management throughout the employee lifecycle. The HR Generalist serves as a resource for employees and managers while helping ensure company policies and HR procedures are applied consistently and in compliance with applicable employment laws.
Responsibilities
- Support the full recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, reference checks, and preparation of employment offers.
- Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, employment documentation, and required pre-employment processes.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files and HR records.
- Process employee changes, including new hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, and terminations.
- Assist employees with questions regarding company policies, benefits, payroll, PTO, and other HR-related matters.
- Support benefits administration, including employee enrollments, changes, and communication of benefit information.
- Assist with payroll and timekeeping by reviewing employee attendance, PTO, missed punches, and other payroll-related information.
- Monitor employee attendance and assist management with addressing attendance or performance concerns.
- Support employee relations matters, including coaching, disciplinary actions, workplace concerns, and investigations.
- Prepare disciplinary notices, coaching documents, employment letters, and other HR documentation as needed.
- Assist managers with interpreting and consistently applying company policies and procedures.
- Maintain and update job descriptions to ensure they accurately reflect current responsibilities and organizational needs.
- Coordinate employee training, safety meetings, orientations, and other HR programs.
- Assist with workers' compensation, leave administration, and other employee-related programs as needed.
- Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Assist with required employment documentation, including I-9 and E-Verify processes.
- Prepare HR reports, employee lists, tracking spreadsheets, and other documentation as requested.
- Support employee engagement activities, company events, wellness initiatives, and recognition programs.
- Communicate professionally with employees, managers, vendors, benefit providers, and other business partners.
Requirements
- Previous HR, administrative, recruitment, or talent acquisition experience.
- Degree in human resources is preferred.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with limited structure and direct supervision.
- Customer-service mindset with strong communication skills.

Pay
Annual salary range: $50,000 – $55,000.
Schedule
