About the role
The HR Generalist supports day-to-day operations related to human resources, including employee relations, recruiting & on-boarding, benefit & leave administration, and payroll.
Responsibilities
- Counsel and coach employees and management on employee relation matters and company policies.
- Administer company policies, programs, and benefits and act as a liaison with corporate to facilitate change management.
- Conduct training as necessary.
- Act as a liaison for employee programs and benefits.
- Coordinate and facilitate benefit meetings during open enrollment.
- Ensure new hire and termination paperwork is processed and employee data is accurate within the system of record (e.g. UltiPro).
- Maintain proper employee files in accordance with policy and law.
- Maintain and develop policies and procedures.
- Perform recruiting duties for non-exempt positions, including creating job advertisements, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
- Complete on-boarding functions for new employees, including system on-boarding (UltiPro), new employee orientation, and necessary coordination of training.
- Participate in routine reporting functions to support the business.
- Advocate for other company programs and initiatives based on the site supported.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Human Resources or related field preferred or equivalent years of experience required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources with progressive duties around employee relations, recruiting, benefits, compensation, and/or training required.
- Prior experience in the warehousing, third party logistics, and/or distribution centers preferred.
- Prior experience in a leadership role and/or managing others desired.
