Responsibilities
- Responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process for warehouse positions, including posting job ads, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and new hire entry into our HRIS systems.
- Conducts the onboarding program for all new hires. Onboarding includes but is not limited to benefits, payroll, safety, policies and procedures, and most importantly company culture.
- Handles all the front-line HR inquiries and responses, including proactively communicating on changes, programs, or similar to keep the co-owners informed.
- Addresses, resolves or escalates employee issues, conflicts, or investigations in a timely, fair, consistent, and professional manner in accordance with our policies and procedures.
- Encourages change and creative problem solving through the entire organization. Promotes a positive and inclusive workplace environment, fostering open communication and employee engagement.
- Coaches supervisors on proper responses to employee activities, recognizing positive situations and addressing negative situations.
- Safeguards performance review processes and provides support as needed.
- Identifies training needs and coordinates training sessions to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Ensures data integrity of co-owner data in HRIS tools, including pay, department, supervisor, and more.
- Creates and provides HR reporting as needed and HR metrics such as turnover rates, absenteeism, and employee satisfaction.
- Supports the operations team in safety endeavors and coordinates the first report of injury and worker’s compensation process.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and education.
- At least 3 years of experience in an HR role, with at least 1 year at a generalist level.
- A strong knowledge of HR practices and labor laws (especially California).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- The ability to work through varying tasks with varying levels of complexity.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.

Pay
Salary is commensurate with experience.
