Function Human Resources Job Summary The HR Generalist is a key member of the Human Resources team, providing day-to-day HR support and serving as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders across the organization. This role partners with a broad range of HR functions to support the full employee lifecycle including employee relations, leave of absence administration, performance management, policy interpretation, and investigations. The ideal candidate is proactive, self-motivated HR professional who is comfortable navigating complex employee situations while exercising sound judgement, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws. Job Description Serve as a trusted HR advisor to leaders and employees on complex employee relations matters, ensuring issues are assessed promptly, handled consistently, and resolved in alignment with company policy, employment law, and business needs.Conduct thorough and objective workplace investigations, including intake, fact-finding, documentation, credibility assessment, findings, and recommended actions to address conduct, policy, and workplace concerns.Partner with managers to address performance issues through clear expectations, coaching, documentation, corrective action, performance improvement plans, and follow-through on required next steps.Exercise strong judgment and discretion when evaluating sensitive employee matters, balancing employee experience, risk mitigation, business impact, confidentiality, and legal/policy compliance.Interpret and apply company policies, practices, and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws to guide leaders through employee relations, disciplinary, leave, accommodation, and performance management decisions.Provide direct HR support to employees and managers across multiple business segments, responding to questions, escalating risks, and ensuring consistent application of HR processes and standards.Prepare accurate, well-documented employee relations records, investigation summaries, corrective action documentation, and related communications that support defensible decision-making.Manage aspects of employee leaves of absence, including Short Term and Long-Term Disability, FMLA, state and local leave programs, military leave, parental leave, and personal leaves, while ensuring appropriate coordination and compliance.Collaborate with HR functional partners, internal and external legal compliance, and business stakeholders as needed to resolve employee matters, align on recommendations, and execute appropriate actions.Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, documentation, and manager tools, leveraging technology, data, and best practices to strengthen consistency, efficiency, and compliance.Engage stakeholders across the business on key HR initiatives, change impacts, and employee matters requiring sound judgment, timely action, and clear communication Incumbent Attributes Education: BS/BA in a related fieldYears of experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources Generalist experienceOther unique job relevant attributes:Strong working knowledge of human resource practices, procedures, principles and strategiesExperience supporting a broad range of HR functions though employee lifecycleStrong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practicesStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentSelf-starter with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teamsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mind setTechnical knowledge of Workday (preferred) or similar system, and ability to effectively use the data to provide analytic interpretationExperience with leave of absence administration process Estimated base pay for the position is typically between $94,700 and $124,900 . The actual base pay for the position may be influenced by factors such as education, training, skills, qualifications, competencies, years of experience, job-related knowledge, and scope of the role, and could be outside of the posted pay range.
