About the role
The HR Generalist will support the Electric Power Division's management and production team in the Griffin, GA facility. This role reports to the Human Resources Manager.
Responsibilities
- Making recommendations to management on issues concerning employees, recruiting, turnover, or training.
- Aid in new employee onboarding.
- Assist and consult with employee inquiries such as time & attendance, payroll issues, Workday access, etc.
- Participate in HR projects related to facility success.
- Handle employee relations issues, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing.
- Aid in Employee Insights action planning.
- Conduct organizational effectiveness assessments and recommend programs to address issues.
Requirements
- Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Ability to apply critical thinking in decision-making processes.
- Effective Communication: Deliver helpful feedback, listen to feedback, and communicate with various levels of the organization.
- Interpersonal Relationships: Influence key individuals inside and outside the organization and earn their buy-in.
- Data Gathering and Reporting: Knowledge of tools, techniques, and processes for gathering and reporting data.
- Employee Relations: Knowledge of employee relations, ability to assist employees with personal or professional problems, and understanding organizational policies.
- HR Policies, Standards, and Procedures: Analyze policy and standard documentation, ensure organizational compliance, and assist in developing and implementing specific procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related discipline.
Skills
- Knowledge of Organization: Understanding the organization's vision, structure, culture, philosophy, operating principles, values, and code of ethics.

Pay and Schedule
- Pay Range: $89,210.00 - $133,810.00. Compensation and benefits may vary based on individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance, and experience.
- Schedule: Full-time, working five days a week.
