HR Generalist
Position Overview
We’re looking for an HR Generalist who thrives on variety and momentum. This role is a trusted partner owning regional, multi-location HR administration — onboarding, background checks, status changes, integrations, tier one performance management, offboarding, and unemployment — while helping the HR Business Partner keep compliance airtight across a fast-growing footprint. Specific Responsibilities
Site & Location Integrations
- Assist with new site or location integrations, including building out the HRIS and importing data
- Communicate directly with site leadership and acquired team members about payroll and HR questions
- Maintain and update the integration checklist to reflect evolving needs
- Maintain compliance checklist for new locations
New Hire and Onboarding Process
- Own all onboarding activities for new hires across multiple locations
- Track and ensure timely completion of onboarding and background checks, communicating next steps to team members and hiring managers
- Hire new team members into the HRIS
- Perform E-Verify and I-9 for new hires and rehires to ensure employment eligibility
- Interpret contracts to ensure accurate payment and time off
- HR Administration & Compliance
- Own all HRIS data and ensure timely, accurate processing of changes to personnel files
- Maintain team member records in compliance with state and federal requirements
- Review and respond to employment verifications and unemployment claims, providing appropriate documentation
- Respond to HR-related inquiries from team members and internal stakeholders
- Contribute to ongoing improvement of internal processes providing best practice recommendations
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in all areas of human resources

Additional Duties
Regular audits of HRIS to ensure data hygiene
Build ad hoc reporting and analytics for interdepartmental use, maintaining confidentiality while providing critical data
Update and maintain SOPs to reflect changing processes
Run point on HR life cycles projects such as engagement surveys, performance reviews, exit and stay interviews, etc.
Support administration of enterprise projects such as OSHA compliance, required annual training, and bringing new systems online
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Human Resources Management or related field
Minimum 2 years’ experience in Human Resources or administrative role
Strong customer service focus required
Exceptional critical and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Energized by a fast-paced, dynamic, startup-style environment where priorities can shift quickly
Strong attention to detail
Experience ensuring compliance while meeting deadlines
Experience with an HRIS platform; Paycor or Paychex a plus
Ability to analyze and present information so that it is understood by everyone within the organization
