HR Generalist
Relocation authorized: National - Single. Full-time telework; office/project work location in New Albany, OH.
About the Role
As a Human Resources Representative for the Manufacturing and Technology Projects, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. You will perform a variety of HR support activities throughout the project lifecycle, contributing to fostering a positive work culture and optimizing talent utilization. Responsibilities
- Recruitment: Coordinate all actions related to the successful implementation and execution of the Recruitment and Engagement strategy. Support the recruiting cycle time by partnering with hiring managers and recruiters to streamline the resource staffing process.
- Mobilization: Provide support to employees and their families relocating nationally and internationally to the project location, ensuring a smooth integration process. Offer logistical support with various relocation elements.
- Onboarding & Orientation: Facilitate seamless onboarding and orientation experiences for new team members, ensuring they are equipped with necessary resources and information to excel from day one.
- Employee Engagement: Design and execute employee engagement initiatives to maintain a positive work culture and boost team morale. Foster open communication and serve as a trusted resource for employees to address concerns.
- Data Analysis: Analyze various aspects of the employment cycle (hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations), design applicable reporting systems, and recommend methods to reduce turnover and increase organizational effectiveness.
- Training & Development: Coordinate and facilitate training sessions or workshops to enhance team capabilities, contributing to a high-performing work environment and fostering team synergy.
- Compliance and Policy Adherence: Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements related to human resources, promoting a culture of compliance and fairness.
- Perform other duties and initiatives as assigned by the Project HR Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or other relevant disciplines from an accredited university and 2+ years of experience, or 5+ years of overall experience in lieu of a degree.
Skills
- Knowledge of Bechtel’s organizational structure, Human Resources policies, procedures, and tools (TalentWorks, SAP).
- Experience in several Human Resources disciplines (Staffing and Recruitment, Employee Engagement, Learning & Development, etc.).
- Demonstrated skill in conducting research, investigating alternative solutions, and outlining actionable steps.
- Skill in the preparation and presentation of oral and written reports.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English.
- Working knowledge of HRIS systems and tools (SAP, Smartstaff, Power BI, Excel).
- Ability to interact and coordinate activities with external stakeholders, such as for event planning and execution.
