HR Generalist
Our client near Woodland, WA is looking for a steady, approachable HR Generalist to jump into a long-term temporary opportunity and help keep day-to-day HR support moving. This is a great fit for someone who likes being the person employees trust, enjoys variety, and can bring calm, practical support to a busy team.
About the role
As the HR Generalist, you would help with:
- Answering employee questions around HR, payroll, benefits, time off, and policies
- Supporting workers' compensation follow-up and coordination
- Helping keep employee records, files, and HR tracking documents organized
- Assisting with onboarding, offboarding, and related employee paperwork
- Being a friendly and reliable point of contact for employees
- Escalating employee questions or issues when needed
- Partnering with the HR team to keep daily HR support running smoothly
- Various related HR projects and administrative support as needed
This is an onsite position with a friendly, people-first team that values communication, follow-through, and a good sense of humor. The right person will be professional, dependable, and comfortable building trust with employees and leadership.
Requirements
- 2+ years of broad HR support experience
- Exposure to workers' compensation
- Comfort answering employee questions and supporting day-to-day HR needs
- Basic HRIS or payroll system experience
- Basic to intermediate Excel skills
