About the role
Addison Group is partnering with our client to identify an experienced HR Generalist to join a collaborative Human Resources team supporting approximately 300 employees. This role offers the opportunity to contribute across multiple HR functions while partnering closely with leadership and employees to support organizational growth and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions related to HR programs, policies, and benefits.
- Cook up and facilitate onboarding activities for newly hired employees, ensuring a seamless transition into the organization.
- Support benefits administration, enrollment processes, and employee communications regarding available programs.
- Manage employment verification processes and assist with pre-employment screening activities.
- Respond to employee and manager inquiries, escalating sensitive or complex matters when appropriate.
- Aid in employee relations matters, including investigations, performance discussions, disciplinary actions, and separation processes.
- Help maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Monitor HR industry trends, regulatory updates, and emerging technologies to support continuous process improvement.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR data within HRIS and ATS platforms.
- Participate in additional HR initiatives and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field strongly preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources Generalist experience.
- Experience supporting organizations with approximately 200-400 employees preferred.
- Familiarity with government contracting environments is highly desirable.
- Experience utilizing HRIS and ATS platforms; Paylocity experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Proven problem-solving and critical-thinking capabilities.
- Self-motivated professional with a proactive approach and continuous learning mindset.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
