About the Role
Responsible for providing support to the Human Resources Director/Manager with a primary focus on processing and updating employee information, personnel files, record keeping, correspondence, and new hire paperwork. Assists in the coordination and implementation of numerous HR initiatives and programs.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of cross-functional duties in the administration of human resources, including staffing, payroll, and employee relations.
- Manage the selection and interview process for positions within the facility, including establishing selection criteria and determining appropriate salary levels within budgets.
- Oversee onboarding processes for new employees, including UltiPro data entry and communication to respective departments.
- Process terminations, ensuring accurate data entry and departmental communication.
- Coordinate new hire and benefits orientation, employee training programs, hiring support, job analysis, compensation analysis, and routine employee relations.
- Provide coaching and consultation to managers, supervisors, and employees to resolve HR-related problems.
- Work with managers to resolve and prevent employee relations issues.
- Communicate information on employee programs and policies.
- Enter and maintain all employee information in UltiPro (HRIS).
- Maintain personnel files, including training records and new hire paperwork.
- Advise managers on performance management, workforce planning, compensation, recruitment, and onboarding activities.
- Complete special projects by clarifying objectives, setting timetables, conducting research, organizing information, and fulfilling obligations.
- Update job knowledge through educational opportunities, professional publications, networking, and participation in professional organizations.
- Perform other assigned functions and tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (required).
- Three or more years of experience in a progressively responsible HR role (required).
- Professional certification in Human Resources (preferred).
