HR Generalist Analyst

About the role

The Human Resources Administrative Assistant supports the full staffing of the ARAMARK GM-WTC site with capable, committed personnel. This includes collaborating with ARAMARK Corporate HR teams to create WTC-specific job standards and initiating a comprehensive process to find, screen, hire, and mobilize the workforce.

The role maintains records of compliance with ARAMARK’s corporate policies and standards for employee compensation, programs, and benefits (e.g., paid time-off, leaves, health care, disability insurance, 401k), workers’ compensation claims, and HIPAA confidentiality requirements. The HRA ensures compliance with instructional training standards, curricula, resources, and materials, while tracking employee participation in required training.

The HRA actively manages training programs, recommends curriculum additions/revisions, and enhances training delivery by coordinating with internal and external resources. The role works closely with the Facility Director, Sr Operations Managers, Facility Managers, Safety Coordinator, and other team members to develop a highly effective work team.

Responsibilities

• Uphold ARAMARK’s policies, procedures, and Service Agreement with GM-WTC to support customers and tenants.
• Maintain documentation of job descriptions, post and cancel job openings, and administer hiring, employment, and termination procedures.
• Assist in coordinating the hiring process, including identifying, evaluating, selecting, hiring, and orienting new employees and transfers.
• Aggressively manage the training program for ARAMARK and GM UAW skilled trades and sub-contractors, scheduling and documenting participation in required training.
• Ensure accurate timekeeping for hourly resources.
• Assist the HR Manager in administering performance reviews, promotions, transfers, remedial counseling, progressive discipline, layoffs, and terminations in accordance with contract requirements and collective bargaining agreements.
• Prepare and distribute publications, media, and events to enhance employees' quality of work life.
• Assist in preparing scheduled internal, client, and external reports on human resources issues and compliance with policies, standards, regulations, and laws.
• Track KPIs and develop process improvements, systems upgrades, and initiatives to improve employee performance, minimize turnover, and advance careers within ARAMARK.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Business, Human Resource Management, or a related discipline.
• Participation in recognized professional bodies (e.g., Human Resource Certification Institute or Professional in Human Resources) preferred.
• Coursework indicating advanced professional development.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience as a Human Resources Assistant in large facilities, maintenance, construction, or manufacturing organizations.
• Administrative experience in human resources management for facility operations, including budgeting, regulatory compliance, recruiting, hiring, training, and labor relations.
