Learn more about our work: https://envidacares.org Job Summary This position plays a critical part in ensuring organizational compliance with employment laws, payroll and benefits administration, financial controls, and accurate financial reporting. The Human Resources Generalist & Accounting Specialist must demonstrate a high level of confidentiality, accuracy, professionalism, and effective cross-department collaboration. This position is a dual role supporting human resources operations and works closely with the Controller and Accounting Specialist to assist with financial reporting, including month-end reports, year-end financial statements, and audit preparation. Key Responsibilities Human Resources Support recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processesMaintain employee personnel files and HR records in compliance with state and federal lawsProcess employment changes, pay adjustments, and Personnel Action Forms (PAFs)Assist with payroll processing, audits, and reportingSupport HR audits, reporting, and policy updates Accounting & Finance Process accounts payable, expense reports, and vendor paymentsAssist with accounts receivable tracking and reconciliationsSupport general ledger entries and month-end close activitiesReconcile payroll and benefits expenses with financial recordsAssist with financial reporting, audits, and grant or contract documentation Requirements Associate’s degree in human resources, Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field required * Additional Experience may substitute on a year for year basis Bachelor’s degree preferred Minimum 3–5 years of combined experience in Accounting and Human Resources Experience in nonprofit accounting, healthcare, Medicaid-funded, or government-regulated environments strongly preferred Payroll and benefits administration experience required
