This position partners with business teams to implement and administer HR programs in talent management, employee relations, performance management, talent development, and retention. It collaborates with other HR functions and serves as the first line of support for day-to-day team member inquiries, providing coaching and guidance on routine matters.
Responsibilities
- Execute HR organizational business plans as a member of the Human Resources team.
- Perform broad professional HR responsibilities under limited direction, including onboarding, compensation, performance appraisals, benefits management, affirmative action, EEO compliance, complaint investigation, and HRIS.
- Provide counsel on company policy interpretation and application, ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements.
- Support HR initiatives in organizational culture, change management, talent development, leadership development, and career development, including classroom presentations and training.
- Assist Talent Acquisition in leading onboarding for new hires in supported groups.
- Collaborate with leaders to create performance plans, ensure documentation, and work with compliance/legal departments.
- Conduct workplace investigations, track claims, and ensure effective responses.
- Manage administrative activities such as HR reporting, data analysis, exit processes, and employee transactions.
- Support HRBP leadership in data gathering, presentation creation, and communications.
- Contribute to retention and engagement initiatives across supported business areas.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or a related field preferred.
- 2–4 years of HR experience in an HR business partner environment preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Outlook).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in conflict resolution, progressive HR project work, performance management, and benefits administration.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships vertically and horizontally within an organization.
- High standards of ethical behavior, confidentiality, professionalism, and objectivity.
- Strong listening skills to ascertain needs and communicate policies clearly and accurately.
- Analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to analyze data and handle competing priorities.
