About the role
This position supports the Vice President and Human Resources leadership in Employee and Labor Relations, focusing on strategic administrative and operational priorities within the HR leadership office.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day functioning of the HR leadership office, managing executive scheduling, workflows, and complex administrative operations to align with organizational needs.
- Independently prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects, evaluating urgency and impact to ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
- Prepare and manage executive-level correspondence, including researching and drafting responses with discretion and consistency with HR policies and labor relations considerations.
- Handle highly sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and sound judgment.
- Coordinate committees, such as the Retirement Plan Committee, by assisting with agenda development, gathering input, and ensuring timely preparation and distribution of materials.
- Manage and align the HR departmental calendar of initiatives, events, and communications, coordinating across HR functions and supporting prioritization.
- Partner with Internal Communications and Creative Services to coordinate and execute communication and branding strategies.
- Coordinate campus-wide employee engagement and recognition initiatives, including departmental programs like retreats and planning meetings, and assess opportunities for improvement.
- Manage promotion and nominations for BRAVO recognition for staff.
- Develop and maintain document management and recordkeeping systems for HR leadership, ensuring organization and accessibility.
- Coordinate operational logistics for HR, including facilities, procurement, and travel arrangements for HR leaders and staff.
- Support administration of Child Care grants, nomination, and award processes, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of expenditures and reimbursements.
- Coordinate updates and maintenance of HR website content, ensuring information is current, accurate, and aligned with organizational standards.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support HR leadership and departmental operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
- 5–8 years’ experience supporting at the executive level.
- Submission of writing samples is required.

- Proficiency in developing and supporting presentations using PowerPoint.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies.
Pay
Annual base salary range: USD $70,000.00–$80,000.00.
