HR Director, Talent Acquisition
About the role
The Pittsburgh Paints Company is seeking an HR Director, Talent Acquisition to lead enterprise recruiting efforts for a growing paints, stains, and coatings business.
Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise-wide talent acquisition strategies aligned with business priorities and workforce planning objectives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, hiring managers, HR Business partners, and executive stakeholders on talent acquisition matters and other potential HR leadership accountabilities that make a positive impact on the business.
- Oversee recruiting operations across multiple functions and business units across the U.S. and Canada.
- Manage and optimize the organization's Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) partnership, ensuring service delivery, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Lead relationships with external recruiting agencies, search firms, and talent acquisition vendors.
- Support executive and leadership-level recruiting efforts.
- Drive improvements in recruiting processes, service delivery, candidate experience, and hiring manager experience.
- Oversee the talent acquisition technology ecosystem, including UKG Recruiting and related platforms.
- Partner closely with HR leadership and HR Business Partners to address workforce needs and develop talent solutions.
- Coach and develop recruiting team members while fostering a high-performance, customer-focused culture.
- Manage complex recruiting challenges and escalations with urgency, sound judgment, and a solutions-oriented approach.
Requirements
The successful candidate will be an experienced talent acquisition leader with HR Business Partner experience and a demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving business environment. This individual will possess the executive presence necessary to influence senior leaders, the operational discipline required to drive results, and the relationship-building skills needed to create alignment across stakeholders. The role requires a leader who is comfortable navigating ambiguity, balancing competing priorities, and providing practical solutions to complex talent challenges.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. They should have 10+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience with 5+ years of leadership experience within talent acquisition. Experience overseeing RPO relationships and external recruiting agencies, managing recruiting teams and enterprise recruiting operations, supporting executive and leadership-level recruiting initiatives, and strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management capabilities are also required. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are beneficial.
