A well-established global organization with approximately 1,000 employees and operations across multiple regions is seeking a HR Director to serve as a key strategic business partner to executive leadership. This highly visible position will lead human resources initiatives across a diverse workforce while helping drive organizational growth, operational excellence, and talent strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, providing guidance on people strategy, organizational effectiveness, and workforce planning
  • Lead and develop an HR team while fostering a high-performance, employee-focused culture
  • Partner with business leaders to drive talent acquisition, retention, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, and related HR policies
  • Support performance management, employee relations, compensation, and organizational development programs
  • Leverage HR technology and emerging AI tools to improve processes, reporting, and overall HR effectiveness
  • Participate in key recruiting and talent acquisition activities for critical positions
  • Drive continuous improvement and transformation initiatives across the HR function
  • Travel up to 25% domestically as business needs require

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or HR certification is a plus
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive Human Resources experience
  • At least 2 years in a senior HR leadership role partnering directly with executive leadership teams, including C-suite executives
  • Demonstrated HR leadership experience supporting operational, distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, transportation, hospitality, or other workforce-intensive environments
  • Experience leading and developing HR teams
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law, compliance, employee relations, FMLA, ADA, and HR best practices
  • HRIS experience and a strong comfort level with technology and AI-enabled business tools
  • Leadership style characterized by humility, collaboration, and a willingness to be hands-on when needed
  • Strong communication, coaching, and influencing skills

Pay

  • Base salary: $150,000 - $175,000+ (flexibility for exceptional candidates)
