About the Role
The HR Data Analyst plays a critical role in transforming workforce data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. This role partners with HR, Finance, and business leaders to analyze trends related to workforce planning, compensation, performance, and employee experience. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with business acumen and curiosity around emerging technologies, including AI-enabled analytics tools, to translate workforce data into clear, meaningful insights that support the organization's talent strategy.
Data Analysis & Insights
- Analyze HR data across systems (e.g., Dayforce, ATS, engagement tools) to identify trends and insights
- Develop dashboards and reports to support workforce planning, turnover analysis, and organizational effectiveness
- Conduct deep-dive analyses on topics such as attrition, hiring, performance ratings, and compensation outcomes
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for leadership
- Explore opportunities to leverage AI-enabled tools and automation to improve reporting efficiency, trend analysis, and insight generation
- Support development of predictive and forward-looking workforce analytics capabilities
Reporting & Dashboard Development
- Build and maintain standardized and ad hoc reports for HR and business leaders
- Design executive-level dashboards (e.g., headcount, diversity, compensation, hiring metrics)
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting outputs
- Evaluate emerging analytics and visualization technologies, including AI-assisted reporting capabilities, to enhance decision-making
Workforce & Talent Analytics
- Support workforce planning efforts with data-driven insights (e.g., headcount forecasting, vacancy trends)
- Analyze compensation and pay equity trends in partnership with Compensation team
- Support performance management analytics, including rating distributions and calibration insights
Data Management & Governance
- Maintain data quality standards and partner with HRIS to resolve data integrity issues
- Support development of data definitions, governance frameworks, and reporting standards
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security policies
Stakeholder Partnership
- Partner with HR leaders (Compensation, Benefits, HRIS, Talent Acquisition) to understand business needs
- Provide data-driven recommendations to improve HR programs and processes
- Support executive reporting and presentations with clear data storytelling
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Human Resources, Business, or related field
- 3–6 years of experience in HR analytics, data analysis, or related role
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data modeling)
- Experience with HRIS systems
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Familiarity with SQL or other data querying tools preferred
- Exposure to AI-assisted analytics tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Power BI AI capabilities) preferred
- Familiarity with predictive analytics concepts and workforce modeling is a plus

Pay
Pay Range $104,000—$141,000 USD
