About the role
The Human Resources Coordinator serves as a key liaison between the Human Resources department and Field Operations, supporting HR processes across all business locations within an assigned region using Workday and UKG. This role ensures the smooth execution of daily HR functions, focusing on employee records and high-volume data entry. Training includes 3 days onsite, followed by a hybrid schedule until training completion, then transitioning to 1 day onsite per week.
Responsibilities
- HRIS & Employee Data Management: Maintain accurate and timely data entry in UKG and Workday, ensuring employee records reflect status changes (hires, promotions, transfers, terminations, compensation updates) in accordance with company policies. Organize and prioritize HR service requests (Track-It tickets and emails) with clear documentation and timely resolution. Monitor internal HR reports (e.g., pending hires, terminations, I-9 completions, license/certification reports) for compliance and accuracy.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Manage end-to-end onboarding, including background checks, document collection, employment eligibility (I-9), and HRIS entry to ensure day-one readiness. Serve as the primary contact for new hires, guiding them through onboarding and resolving documentation or system issues. Process terminations in compliance with legal requirements, ensuring accurate system updates and timely communication with stakeholders.
- Field Support & Communication: Act as the primary HR point of contact for field managers and employees, providing guidance on HR policies, handling inquiries, and offering transactional support. Maintain consistent communication with field operations to align on staffing actions, documentation, and compliance.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company requirements for employee documentation, including I-9s and license/certification renewals. Proactively alert Operations about expiring licenses or certifications to maintain workforce compliance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Projects: Coordinate with Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, IT, Compliance, and other departments to support shared initiatives and ensure accurate information flow. Contribute to HR projects, process improvements, and system implementations as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience with Workday and UKG/UltiPro.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and platforms like Workday & UKG.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally at all organizational levels.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
