HR Coordinator
About the role
The HR Coordinator at Ultima Genomics plays a crucial role in supporting various HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an HR support or administrative role.
Responsibilities
- Administer all tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, ongoing changes, and offboarding, including background checks, initiating new hire onboarding process, maintaining employee files and records in the system, processing on-going changes, and offboarding documentation
- Act as the primary HR contact to administer and execute human resource programs and procedures, including employee referral bonuses, spot bonuses, educational assistance program, intern program, monitoring/responding to employee questions, employment verifications, and unemployment claims
- Aid in employee and candidate immigration matters, generate reports and org charts, and assist with data analysis for HR metrics, audits, and compliance filings
- Assist with recruitment logistics, including reviewing job descriptions, preparing job requisitions, posting positions to external job sites, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates and hiring managers
- Aid in equity administration, including new hire grants, offboarding share information communication, and other quarterly processes and procedures
- Aid in the review and analysis of new HR updates to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, while staying aligned with standard business practices
- Aid in HR and Business Operations projects and other job duties as assigned
Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Proficient in using computers, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience using HR systems and talent acquisition tools such as ATS (Greenhouse), Glassdoor, recruiting platforms, such as Indeed and LinkedIn, is preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and work independently
- Demonstrated ability to build strong and collaborative working relationships with candidates, colleagues, and internal customers
- Strong organizational and calendar management skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of HR best practices and employment/labor laws is a plus
Pay
This role pays between $28/hour and $32/hour, if performed in California. The actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
