About the role
The HR Coordinator will provide administrative support to the HR team across multiple functional areas, including benefits, employee relations, onboarding, and compliance. The position offers direct hire opportunities fully onsite in Biddeford, ME with a comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the HR team across multiple functional areas, including benefits, employee relations, onboarding, and compliance.
- Maintain employee records and personnel files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Enter and update employee information within the HRIS.
- Aid with new hire onboarding and orientation.
- Support benefits administration, leave tracking, and employee documentation.
- Manage the HR inbox and respond to employee inquiries.
- Generate reports and assist with HR data tracking.
- Help coordinate company events, recognition programs, and special HR projects.
- Maintain organizational charts, training records, and other HR documentation.
- Provide outstanding customer service to employees and managers while handling sensitive information with professionalism.
Requirements
- 2+ years of administrative experience or early career Human Resources experience.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Comfortable working in Microsoft Office and learning new systems (HRIS experience is a plus).
- Someone who enjoys supporting a team, juggling multiple priorities, and providing exceptional internal customer service.
- A positive attitude and desire to learn and grow within Human Resources.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Some college coursework or relevant work experience preferred.
Skills
- Microsoft Office Suite
- HRIS experience (a plus)
