Responsibilities
- Review bi-weekly payroll information in ADP Workforce Now to help ensure pay data is complete, accurate, and processed on time.
- Enter and maintain employee records, including hires, status updates, separations, benefit-related deductions, and paid time off changes.
- Examine timekeeping details, investigate discrepancies, and partner with appropriate contacts to resolve payroll issues promptly.
- Support employees with HR self-service tools and respond to questions related to pay, records, and routine HR processes.
- Generate payroll and human resources reports using ADP and Excel to support tracking, analysis, and day-to-day operations.
- Organize and maintain personnel documentation, filing systems, and records in accordance with confidentiality and compliance standards.
- Care for pre-employment activities such as reference checks, background screenings, onboarding steps, and training assignments.
- Aid with administrative HR tasks including invoice preparation, employment verification responses, unemployment documentation, garnishment processing, and workers’ compensation paperwork.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in payroll, HR coordination, or human resources administration.
- Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now is required.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including sorting, filtering, and producing reports.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail when managing numerical data and employee information.
- Ability to handle confidential records with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong communication and customer service skills when assisting employees and responding to inquiries.
- Familiarity with onboarding, background checks, HRIS systems, and HR compliance practices.
Qualifications
Availability to work onsite Monday through Friday in Newark, New Jersey.
