Primary Objective of Position
The HR Coordinator position provides a wide variety of skilled administrative support for the Human Resources department.Major Areas of Accountability
- HR Coordination: Support the recruitment of employees, including creating and posting job advertisements, screening applicants, conducting phone interviews and coordinating next step interviews. Conduct HR Orientations for new hires. Conduct and document new hire check-ins. Perform diversified clerical and administrative activities.
- Assist with HR related audits and surveys.
- Assist with event and training coordination, including site communication, staffing needs, timelines, and needs from external vendors.
- Scans images and documents into document retrieval system.
Volunteer Program Coordination
- Maintain available position postings on relevant community volunteer recruitment sites, including volunteer postings for food distribution programs.
- Communicate with staff and volunteers regarding food distribution volunteer sign ups, directions, and contact information.
- Distribute and collect food distribution volunteer waivers.
- Monitor and record accurate records of volunteer hours.
- Aid in onboarding and management of volunteers via Point.
- Recruit volunteers on an as-needed basis, including creating and posting advertisements, screening applicants, and coordinating next step interviews.
Level of Education, Experience and Skill Set
- Excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to deal effectively with all levels of employees.
- Proficient knowledge of all programs included in Office 365, especially Outlook.
- Proficient knowledge of the Internet for research and work assignments.
- Must have enthusiasm and a team building spirit.
- Ability to multi-task, organize and meet deadlines.
- Ability to detect errors and focus on details.

Physical Demands
- The HR Coordinator is required to talk and hear.
- The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel.
- The employee is required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb, balance, twist, lean, move from one location to another and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close and far vision.
- Ability to operate a computer keyboard, and lift files and reports.
- Exposure to glare from a computer.
Reasonable Accommodations
- Must be able to lift 15 lbs.
- Travel via automobile and/or plane 25%.
Work Environment
- The work environment will usually be in a professional office setting, with possible shared workspace.
- The noise level is usually quiet to moderate.
- When traveling the environment will change dependent upon the site visiting.
