Hr Coordinator Essential Duties And Functions

Aid in the administration of company-wide human resources policies, procedures, and practices in alignment with corporate objectives and legal requirements.

Coordinate and conduct employee engagement and relations activities such as employee counseling, policy interpretation, new employee orientation, company events, and employee recognition programs.

Carry out exit interviews with employees; report findings to management.

Respond to inquiries about the organization's processes, policies, procedures, and programs.

Administer ongoing information and training to enhance employee development and provide support and problem resolution.

Coordinate the distribution and communication of projects including the Employee Handbook, new employee orientation, policies, 401(k) open enrollment, benefit open enrollment, and employee recognition.

Identify potential employee-relations issues and report them to the manager.

Handle grievance reports and support the HR Manager in claims of harassment or other policy violations.

Recruit and interview candidates; provide management with hiring support (position descriptions, market wages, posting strategies).

Manage the hiring process, including background and reference checks, salary negotiations, and issuance of job confirmations and internal communications.

Improve and adjust communications to attract qualified candidates through the design and placement of position announcements, advertising, and participation in job fairs.

Administer company compensation and benefits programs.

Support the administration of payroll, garnishments, and unemployment claims.

Handle employment leave processes, Workers Compensation, and Family Medical Leave.

Maintain employment documentation controls with a high level of confidentiality regarding identity, medical, and wage information.

Assist with return-to-work and other accommodation processes.

Hr Coordinator Qualifications

Associate's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an HR role or administrative position.

Knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations.

SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment is required.

Hr Coordinator Skills

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS software.

Attention to detail and accuracy in data management and reporting.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Physical Demands And Work Environment

Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.

Sometimes required to stand, walk, and lift office supplies up to 20 pounds.

Work is performed in a typical office environment with moderate noise levels.

May require occasional travel for recruitment events or training sessions.
