About the role
Baylor University is seeking a service-oriented HR Consultant (HRC) to serve as a strategic HR business partner for a portfolio of internal client groups.
Responsibilities
- Partner with internal constituents to provide HR services to our clients and serve as a strategic resource to client leadership on all employment matters
- Serve as the HR Consultant for designated client groups with low to moderately complex needs
- Avoid and resolve employee relations/performance issues
- Support and drive organizational change by empowering client leaders to make key business decisions
- Participate in workforce planning and resource allocations as led by client leadership
- Develop and implement strategies for designated departments based on knowledge of sound HR practices and operational objectives
- Develop training sessions to support effective team building to designated departments
- Provide support to the HR Consulting team by providing data collection, analysis and secondary support on employee relations issues and investigations
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree and five years of relevant work experience. A Master's Degree and eight years of relevant work experience are preferred.
- Strong preference will be given to candidates who currently have a PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or SHRM-SCP.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a Full-Time Basis.
