About the role
We are looking for a strategic, consultative HR Business Partner to join our growing managed services team and support multiple client accounts across a dynamic, technology-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic HR consultant and primary contact for assigned client accounts, delivering proactive, solutions-oriented guidance aligned with each client’s business objectives.
- Manage employee relations matters across client organizations, including investigations, disciplinary processes, conflict resolution, and compliance guidance.
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle—onboarding, performance management, leave administration, and offboarding—across a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Led performance review design and execution, manager training, and employee development initiatives tailored to each client’s culture and goals.
- Leverage HR technology platforms—including Lattice, Salary.com, Nectar, and Service Cloud—to deliver efficient, data-informed service and improve client outcomes.
- Serve as the client-facing project manager for HR initiatives, coordinating HR Generalists and Data Services to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen client HR programs, extend relationships, and drive retention and growth.
- Contribute to team process improvement, scalable delivery standards, and a culture of service excellence across the Skillcloud consulting team.
Requirements
Candidates must currently reside in southern Maine and be commutable to the Portland area to be on site at client locations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
- 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, with demonstrated strength in employee relations, HR consulting, compliance, and stakeholder management.
- Experience in a consulting, outsourced HR, managed services, or multi-client environment strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with HCM platforms, HRIS systems, and HR technology tools; familiarity with Lattice, Salary.com, Nectar, and Service Cloud is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust, influence senior stakeholders, and manage multiple client relationships simultaneously.
- High attention to detail, strong data judgment, and a commitment to confidentiality and compliance.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-stage organization where priorities evolve and independent judgment is essential.
- Ability to be on site at client locations as needed within the assigned market.
