HR Business Partner I
About the role
The Vermont Department of Human Resources seeks an HR generalist to join a vibrant team supporting the Agency of Transportation, the Agency of Education, and the Department of Labor. The ideal candidate will work effectively with all levels of employees and management, organize and prioritize work effectively, and adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced environment. Well-developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required and familiarity with working in a union environment is a plus. Excellent organizational skills are necessary to coordinate and process a large volume of work. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to evaluate, interpret, and provide guidance on human resources-related policy or procedure. Ability to work independently, deliver accurate and timely work, and have an aptitude and interest to learn are all key to success in this position. The Department currently supports a hybrid telework environment; requests to telework up to two days per week will be considered, and in-person work will be required.
