About the role
The Human Resource Partner (HRBP) understands business challenges and supports the development of solutions that address business needs. This role builds a strong link between Human Resources and business strategy, acting as a champion for the business and an advisor to managers and the leadership team on organizational and HR-related issues.
This position reports to the Senior Director of HR.
Responsibilities
- Manages employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and performance management.
- Takes initiative and proactively proposes solutions to challenges and issues.
- Maintains an in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Administers various Human Resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Investigates complaints promptly and thoroughly, providing reasonable solutions and recommendations.
- Provides coaching to management on a variety of issues including HR policies and procedures.
- Ensures confidentiality on privacy matters and demonstrates good judgment.
- Ensures HR policies and practices are applied consistently and provides direction and guidance to employees and all levels of management.
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with business leaders and employees, gaining an understanding of operational needs.
- Travels to company sites throughout the state of Arizona, including Northern and Southern AZ.
- Manages unemployment claims and represents the company during appeal hearings.
- Drives performance management throughout the year by coaching managers on appropriate goal setting, coaching, and feedback, culminating in the annual review process.
- Employs effective communication techniques with a customer service focus and spearheads projects related to developing or revising Human Resource programs and practices.
- Analyzes HR data and trends, identifies key drivers of success and people-related needs, and works with leadership to develop creative, business-supported solutions.
- Conducts research and analysis to determine the efficiency, effectiveness, and impact of current programs, policies, and procedures, recommending revisions as needed.
- Advises management and employees concerning compensation, benefits, employee services, and training in accordance with policies, procedures, and practices.
- Facilitates and/or provides employee and management training, conducts exit interviews, and follows up timely on identified issues with other functional departments.
