About the role
The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland is seeking to appoint two HR Business Partners to support the delivery of people initiatives across the organisation. Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Business Partners will work closely with managers and employees across designated business areas to provide professional HR advice and support throughout the employee lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Partner with managers and employees across designated business areas to provide professional HR support throughout the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, development and offboarding.
- Support workforce planning and talent management activities to ensure that staffing requirements align with organisational needs and objectives.
- Coach and support managers on best practice people management.
- Support organisational change, engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
- Manage investigations, disciplinary and grievance matters in line with College policies, best practice and employment legislation.
- Keep up to date with employment legislation and advise managers on compliance and risk factors.
- Support and coordinate employee engagement initiatives, including employee wellbeing initiatives and staff surveys.
- Coordinate occupational health referrals and support employee wellbeing and attendance management processes.
- Identify training and development needs in collaboration with management.
- Analyse HR trends throughout the organisation and provide management information on key performance indicators.
- Drive Human Resources improvement projects in line with organisational objectives and business needs.
- Present HR updates and people initiatives at townhalls, staff briefings and employee events.
- Review and maintain Human Resources documentation, policies and processes in line with best practice, legislation and changing business needs.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3–5 years' experience in a Human Resources Business Partner, HR Generalist, Human Resources Advisor or similar role.
- Relevant third-level qualification.
- Experience supporting managers across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, performance management, employee relations, development and employee engagement.
- Demonstrable experience managing employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary and grievance processes.
- Evidential knowledge of HR policies and procedure.
- Strong stakeholder management, coaching and influencing skills.
- Knowledge of HR systems and the ability to utilise HR data and metrics to support decision-making.
- Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
