About the role
A day in the life of an HR Business Partner includes working with Nextep's teams to advise and consult our clients on HR matters within their workplace.
- Address and resolve employee relations issues in collaboration with clients.
- Provide guidance on disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and performance management.
- Advise clients on serious matters including employee discipline, performance improvement, separations, terminations, and general employee management.
- Maintain knowledge of local, state, and federal laws affecting human resources and use that expertise to educate and advise clients.
- Serve as HR product expert: audit HR-related billing activity for accuracy, bill clients for appropriate services, submit invoices, and troubleshoot.
- Conduct training sessions for clients on HR-related topics, systems, and best practices.
- Offer guidance on utilizing HR tools and resources effectively.
- Update clients and HR team on state and federal legal or legislative changes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Human Resources or related Business field) from a four-year college or university (ideal but not required).
- Two or more years of human resources-related experience, training, or education.
