Job Title HR Business Partner
Reporting To Business Partner, Strategic HR
Work Schedule Onsite – Blacksburg, VA
Responsibilities
- Developing strong relationships with leadership to provide value-added HR support aligned with business objectives.
- Partnering with the Strategic HRBP to manage the people agenda and deliver new and existing HR initiatives.
- Contributing to business strategy development and execution, bringing an HR lens to organizational decisions.
- Designing and implementing HR strategies that drive engagement, retention, and performance.
- Leading organizational development, design, and change management efforts.
- Owning and driving talent management processes including succession planning, performance management, and talent pipeline development.
- Acting as a coach and role model, promoting a culture aligned with Moog’s values and philosophy.
- Making sure HR metrics, analytics, and reporting support data-driven decision-making.
- Leading or participating in Group-wide or global HR projects and initiatives.
- Collaborating with HR Centers of Excellence to continuously improve policies, processes, and programs.
- Representing the voice of the business within the broader HR function.
- Recognizing and assessing complex organizational issues and recommending strategic solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive HR experience, with at least three (3) years as an HR Business Partner.
- Demonstrated experience supporting multiple sites or business units.
- Prominent ability to advise and influence leadership on both business and people-related matters.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in a matrixed environment and navigating complex organizational structures.
- Deep understanding of U.S. employment law and HR best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in HR, Business, or related discipline.
- Global HR experience, including exposure to international employment practices.
- People management experience, including leading HR teams or direct reports.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing environments.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR).
