About the role

We’re seeking an HR Business Partner to support our operations team and company-wide Human Resources initiatives. The HR Business Partner will ensure the execution of general HR services for all locations in their assigned regions, including employee relations, HR-related training, succession planning, performance management, recruiting, workforce effectiveness, and individual development planning. This role aligns HR programs with business priorities and monitors effectiveness through key metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with regional leaders to provide front-line support for employee relations matters in assigned field locations.
  • Offer guidance to managers and employees on HR-related concerns, including employee relations and performance management (e.g., development of individual development and performance improvement plans).
  • Act as a strategic partner by delivering formal and informal training to all levels of management on HR topics such as employment law, company initiatives, employee feedback, and benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with company values, policies/procedures, and federal/state employment laws.
  • Travel regularly to assigned locations to provide in-market HR support to local leaders.
  • Coordinate with the General Counsel and Senior HR Manager to respond to employee relations issues, including complaints, harassment, and discrimination claims.
  • Conduct investigations into employee misconduct and policy violations, providing recommendations for dispute resolution.
  • Develop, implement, and manage people-related metric reporting to support market strategy and drive business results.
  • Partner with the Compensation & Benefits Team to communicate and implement programs, ensuring compliance and meeting market needs.
  • Maintain and build professional knowledge through meetings, seminars, industry publications, and job shadowing.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience handling HR fundamentals, compliance, recruitment, employee relations, and training.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including state and federal employment practices.
  • Ability to objectively coach, manage conflict, and mediate complex issues.
  • Experience documenting investigations and summarizing formal complaints, collaborating with internal General Counsel as needed.
  • Strong written, oral, and presentation communication skills.
  • Highly collaborative, influential, and proactive communication style.
  • Humility, a strong work ethic, and curiosity to learn the business.
  • Highly organized with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Understanding of confidentiality and ability to balance people’s needs with policy in sensitive matters.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% and maintain a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends and nighttime hours.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions alongside employees and managers.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
