About the role
We are seeking a highly capable Strategic Human Resources Business Partner to join our team in Austin, TX.
Responsibilities
- Deliver With Discipline and Rigor
- Drive HR strategies and initiatives that align with PR&D and G&A organizational and business-unit objectives, ensuring commitments translate into measurable outcomes.
- Manage responsibilities autonomously while maintaining high standards, monitoring progress, and adapting approaches as needed.
- Execute annual compensation processes (salary planning, bonus, RSU) for the supported population, partnering with Total Rewards on market data, strategy, and recommendations.
- Partner with VP-level PR&D and G&A leaders to provide strategic HR guidance, thought partnership, coaching, and data-informed recommendations that shape enterprise-level people strategy.
- Collaborate to Realize Value
- Build strong networks across teams, functions, and geographies; proactively share information and collaborate to deliver results efficiently across a portfolio spanning 10+ countries with varied labor laws and cultural norms.
- Work closely with Geographic HRBPs, HR COEs (Talent Acquisition, Talent Growth, Total Rewards), and HRGO to align and execute global strategies consistently.
- Fuel Growth Through Customer Focus
- Provide analytical insights to support each function's people and culture strategy; connect talent priorities with business needs across both technical R&D engineering and corporate G&A environments.
- Help senior leaders navigate organizational dynamics, including org design, spans & layers, role clarity, and team structures to make talent decisions that improve team effectiveness and enhance the customer experience.
- Leverage HR analytics to diagnose organizational health, identify retention risks, and provide data-informed recommendations that shape workforce strategy.
- Innovate for Impact
- Lead core talent management processes, including succession planning, 9-box calibrations, performance management, high-potential identification, and leadership development - in partnership with internal and external COEs.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, introduce new tools or approaches, and accelerate talent outcomes with agility.
- Drive adoption of enterprise programs (e.g., Success Model, engagement surveys, career development frameworks) within the supported functions.
- Unlock the Power of the Team
- Drive engagement initiatives that promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture, including active contribution to PR&D culture transformation efforts.
- Communicate with clarity and credibility; coach VP-level leaders and their teams to elevate collaboration, shared goals, and organizational effectiveness.
- Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters and ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and international employment laws.
- Guide leaders and teams through organizational transitions, restructures, integration activities, and change management with confidence and strategic foresight.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (required).
- Relevant progressive HR experience, including demonstrated success supporting senior leaders at a level commensurate with the scope of this position.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws across multiple jurisdictions and countries.
- Deep expertise in talent management, organizational design, employee engagement, and change management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated executive presence.
- Able to execute with discipline and operate with strategic focus across a complex, globally distributed portfolio.
- Prominent analytical capability to transform data into actionable insights that shape enterprise-level strategy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- 12+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years supporting senior leaders.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR).
- Experience supporting R&D, engineering, or technology populations in a global organization.
- Proven track record of leading HR initiatives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with enterprise-level complexity.
- Strong project management capabilities.
- Ability to influence and build effective partnerships with VP and executive-level leaders.
- Proven ability to thrive amid ambiguity and drive clarity and progress.
- Experience with enterprise HR systems (Oracle HCM preferred).
