About the Role

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner, providing effective HR operational services and advice to business unit leaders, managers, and staff. This role acts as a consultant on HR-related matters, including performance management, capacity building, talent development, and employee relations. The HRBP is an employee champion, leadership coach, strategic partner, and change agent who manages and resolves complex employee relations issues, guides performance improvement, and fosters work relationships to build morale, increase productivity, and enhance retention.

The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services aligned with the organization’s business objectives. Responsibilities include contributing to HR policy development, designing and implementing tailored training programs, managing varied employee relations cases, and ensuring HR data and reporting supports informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic guidance and coordinate HR policies, procedures, departmental planning, employee relations, compensation, workforce planning, and organizational structure.
  • Partner with all levels of management to advise on Human Resources matters.
  • Act as a liaison between employees and management to address questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices, and regulations.
  • Manage and assist with employee relations, counseling, and exit interviews.
  • Evaluate reports, decisions, and results of the department in relation to established goals; recommend innovative approaches for continued improvement.
  • Support the maintenance and recording of personnel transactions using the ADP Payroll Reporting System.
  • Maintain HR compliance with federal and state laws; assist in preparing records for statistical reports.
  • Ensure new hire paperwork complies with federal, state, FAA, ITAR, and other business unit requirements.
  • Assist employees with benefits questions (e.g., medical, dental, vision, and life insurance).
  • Oversee or lead special projects as assigned.
  • Support and coordinate employee-related functions.
  • Advise and guide management during the termination process.

Requirements

  • 1–5 years of experience in a Human Resources-related position.
  • Comprehensive understanding and execution of broad HR practices and related fields.
  • Advanced skills in solving complex HR issues and problems.
  • Ability to act as a project representative in resolving cross-functional problems requiring a coordinated response.
  • Knowledge of HR laws and regulations (e.g., ADA, FMLA, EEOC, FLSA).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong multitasking, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.

Qualifications

BA Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field (desirable).
